  1. There is - contact the department of workforce development in the state in which you work.

  2. It is illegal. But if it's just 3 days, don't worry. She will, probably it's a bank mistake or something.

  3. This definitely must be addressed, although there is no law saying an employer must give you your wages on time, they have to stick by a specific date that they have told you, if your not entirely sure contact your HR center or your head office. Im not really sure myself because ive never had this problem.

  4. I'm sure there is a law against it and it is a very serious problem that must be taken care of as quickly as possible.  Check the website of your state's Department of Labor for your legal options and take whatever action you feel is needed.  Don't let your employer take advantage of you.

  5. Your payment schedule is a contract between yourself and your employer. If the contract says you get paid on particular dates, and you aren’t paid, it’s a breach of contract. It’s not a criminal act, but you can sue to get your money (and possibly damages, though you’d have to show that you were significantly financially harmed by the late payment).

So check your employment agreement. If you don’t have one, then you’ve got a verbal contract between you, and that’s a legal mess.

The first thing to do is complain, and in the complaint you can point out that you have a contract. If that doesn’t do it, you can call a lawyer. But not the cops, since it’s not a crime.

  6. In most places there is...and in most places they have to pay you within one month of the end of the pay period in the absence of an employment or union agreement stating otherwise.
