Is it illegal for me to sign up for Ebay if im not 18?

I am just wondering, because I have brought a product without actally having an account, then it wants me to sign up but it says I have to be 18 to *have an account* on ebay but I dont want to not sign up since my product has already been paid for and without an account they have no um... whats the word..need to send it? as I cant give feedback etc?

I mean, it would only be for this item.

GET AN OLDER FREIND/PARENT/COUSIN/SIBLING ETC TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT FOR YOU AND GET DEM TO DO IT! :)

Yes it is illegal as if there are any problems they will then have to consult this and that person and it'll be totally annoying.

I think you are confusing Paypal with Ebay.

You can't buy anything on Ebay without an Ebay account.

If you actually bought the item you must have had an Ebay account.

I think your problem is that you are trying to buy it with Paypal and for a Paypal account you must be 18.

Why not send a postal order to pay for the item

not technically "illegal" just against their policy....if anything went wrong with a transaction of if you had a problem with another member that involved, either they not paying or you not receiving an item, then you would have no comeback because technically you lied when signing up therefore your contract with ebay would be void

yes it ilegal - it invalidates the contract between you are the seller if your under 18
