Federally anyone under 14 cannot be on the payroll. However, nobody will give you trouble if you work under the table, which is typical of people your age.

Go pick tobacco man, just don't tell your teachers. Teachers nowadays are lesser in quality than they should be, to say the least, though many are excellent.
