Is it illegal for you to bring snakes into ireland?

i am doing this beacause i have a pet snake and am thinking of visiting ireland from the united states for a vacation and i cannot find a site that specifies this

I dont think its illegal...I know people who have pet snakes in my town so I dont see why you wouldn't be allowed to bring yours

You can buy snakes here.. but why don't you just leave it behind!?! I don't think any airline or customs official would appreciate or let you carry a snake!

I bring my pants snake into Ireland all the time. I get charged for having extra baggage, but that's about it
