Is it illegal not to have a break when working?

i work as a play worker for 4 weeks and we dont get a 30 min break to our selfs, and 2ce a week we got 2 sit nd eat with the kids, and we dont get a break at all.

Is this illegal b coz we dont let a proper 30 min break

  1. Where i work if we work more than 5 hours we ge 45 min break. If we work up to 5 hours we get 30 mins. If we work less than that we can either not have a break or have 15 mins.

    It is illegal not to have a break!

    Why did you finally left there?

    Did you left or the fired you?

    How much per week were you been paid?

    How many HRS. per days did you work?

    Were you part time or full time worker?

    Did you have a contract before you start the job?

    You see there are a lot of question for you to answers

    before I can give you an honest ans. OK?

    When you get a job and it is not what you want, don't stay there for 4 weeks and try  & get one that you can stay there for 4 years or even 14

  3. think it depends on how long you're working for.

    your first 3 hours you have right to 15mins, 8 hour day is 15mins and half an hour for lunch.

    i could be wrong on the exact numbers, but its close.

  5. Much depends on how many hours a day you work. If its under 6 hours then no it isn't illegal.

  10. Depends on which state you work in.   Here, you would get 15 minutes if you were scheduled 4 hours.  That 15 minute break is optional and is not to be taken outside of the workplace.  

  11. im not sure because i dont know where you live  or how many hours you work...but if they are giving you your lunch "break" and you dont even get it to yourself, then i think they are taking advantage of you...because thats not a real break. you should say something!

  12. In the UK, if you work for eight hours, you are entitled to a break(normally 30 minutes) after you have worked for four hours. If you have any issues, you should go to your local citizen's advice centre. They will be able to give you the proper legal bumph!!

  14. It depends how long you work for.  In the UK you can be required to work without a break if your total working day is six hours or less long.
