  1. 1) no, its called a trade of services and its what many business are modelled on. Particularly in your case, design houses. Technically you may need to claim this in your taxes but most people don't, I'd imagine. If it's a regular income, you may wish to speak to an accountant.

The act itself would only be illegal if the content was, eg child p**n.

    2) they pay in advance, you can put them online and say "hi here they are, up to you to come get it, here's the link". That avoids them saying you didnt send it as you know its live. Aternatively, send it to them again if they complain ..

  2. 1) it is not illegal if you dont get caught

    2) you have to send it thru a trusted website that takes care of frauds

  3. It is legal to provide services such as photo editing over the net.

You can avoid people faking you out by having them log into a server to pick up their photos.  That way you email them to tell them they are ready, and they log in to pick them up.  So, you have proof they picked up the product.

  4. I wouldn't think it is illegal to charge for a service... and as for the fees you charge, you should set up a paypal account so you can track the payment and do not send pic till payment is deposited into your account... and then set up pic in photobucket or wherever with a link so they can just go get it.
