Is it illegal to copy and paste ipod songs from my cousin's computer on to my itunes?

because i just upgraded the itunes and it deleted all those songs automatically, and i love all those songs, and now if i put the ipod back in to sync and charge, it will delete them off the ipod, because they are still on there. is there anyway other than having to rebuy them to keep them on there or will it keep the songs on there when i sync and charge? PPPPPLLLLLLEEEAAAAAASSSSSEEEEE HELP!!!!!!

  1. If you own the copyright for the songs or have paid rights then you can copy them freely


  2. as long as  you dont sell the songs again as "your" songs, and make any sort of money off of it, its fine.

    do they seriously expect everyone in a family to buy a CD, if one of them already has it? nope.

    The songs will go away though, when you sync it on your own computer. when you connect your ipod, it should have the option (little box on the left of it for you to check off) to manage your songs manually.

    you wont be syncing if you check this option but you can add music from other peoples computer and use your ipod as a memory thingy.

  3. It isn't illegal. You can copy and paste the songs from your cousin's computer to your iTunes.

    It will take the songs off when you sync. But you can charge it without syncing it.

  4. If you mean that ur cousin has all your songs on his itunes or computer then that should be fine, i think your allowed to use them 2/3 times
