Is it illegal to copy music from a ?

i wanna no if its illegal to copy music off a cd from a library onto ur computer or is it just illegal to sell it

Its illegal to redistribute it in general.. If you do it for personal use only, your fine.

If you are the owner of the CD, i.e. you bought it from a store, then you can normally copy it to another device (computer/iPod/MP3 player) for your own use while away from the original CD.

But for somebody else to listen to the CD while you're listening to the MP3 player is against the copyright - so technically it's illegal to copy music from anything from the library or rental store.
