date all you want, though what a 22y.o. sees in a minor besides a piece of azz is beyond me.  If he gets what he wants (s*x), he can go to jail for statutory rape.

I honestly don't see what difference a few months are going to make on your ability to make decisions you think are right. The age of consent is 18 in California, however this means that you aren't supposed to have any sexual relations with a person over the age of 18 if you are under the age of 18. You can just claim that he/she is just a friend until you reach 18, unless someone knows about you and is willing to cause you harm.
