  1. No...well not really...it is a grey area the last ruling was not illegal to download for personal use.

    It is illegal to upload or sell


  2. I don't know anything about Canadian law but my favorite site http://www.graboib.com is a Canadian company it's website says it is legal.

  3. It's illegal everywhere in the world. It depends on the producers selling the product and the company, not the country you're in.

  4. Every country has different laws protecting the copyrights of the owners.

    Some help the owners enforce them, some don't.

    Is someone going to come knocking on your door because you downloaded a couple of songs/movies?  Probably not.
