I need to drive about 30 miles to a surprise bridal shower, and there isn't a balloon store near where the shower is. Is it really considered an obstructionof view to be driving with balloons in your car?

  1. Yes it is.........................

  2. The balloons can definitely obstruct your view,  but I have no knowledge of anyone being ticketed for this unless you also did something else dumb.   Just be sure the balloons are in the back seat or floorboard,   try wrapping the strings around a brick to keep them lower than the back of the seat and your mirror usable.

  3. If a police man wants to be really petty then he will give you a ticket for it

  4. If you have a ridiculous amount of balloons in your car, then yes, it could be considered obstruction of view.

As long as you're driving properly otherwise, I doubt most officers would really give you a hard time about it.

Key word: Drive properly. Make an exaggerated effort to check your mirrors, etc, and that will show them that you are doing your best to compensate for the lack of proper view.

Most will see that, and decide not to give you a ticket, because you're not trying to be a jerk, you just have a lot of balloons in your car.

  5. if they interfear with your sight it is an obstruction

  6. Put the balloons in the trunk (U.S.) or bonnet (UK) or tie them to stay in positions between the front and rear seats, below where you could see anyway.
