Is it illegal to eat dog meat?

My dog bobo is very old and i know he doesn't have much time left. My question is when he finally does die, is it illegal to eat him?

I've heard that they eat dog in other countries so it has me wondering if it would be good meat to eat.

No, you can do it, but my uncle ever says that who eats dog lose the hair, really I don't know if is true, but I prefer don't taste it.

My question, is why would you eat any meat that comes from an old tough, dead disease ridden animal?  

Lamb, chicken, veal all come from young tender animals.  Gamy old sheep are called mutton, Old hens are only good for stewing, not only are you a sk fk you have no culinary taste.

In the US it is illegal to butcher and eat dog meat.

In other countries such as China and Korea, it is legal though still subject to sanitary laws.

Correction: I think some ethnic Inuit (Eskimo) and American Indian tribes are allowed to eat dog meat for cultural reasons. Not sure though

I don't know why you would want to eat your pet dog but i don't see that its illegal if you decided to.

He would be a bit tough though being an old dog?

Why dont you just have chicken or beef lol?
