Is it illegal to have a deBeer intuition head on a harrow shaft?

i just bought a deBeer intuition womens lacrosse head from comlax.com. I already had a harrow shaft and put the new head on it. A girl on my team also got the intuition, but got it with the shaft and cannot get it off. I was at the NCAA mens final four games and a man working at the comlax tent told me that it was illegal to have the intuition on my harrow shaft. I was wondering if he is right and i have to order the shaft that is suppose to be with it.

  1. Yes, it is illegal. The Intuition has the T.O.S. (Transfer Offset system) which moves the offset from the head to the handle, so if the handle you have doesn't have the 8 degree bend in it like the ones Debeer recommends, then it doesn't meet the specifications for US Lacrosse.

Also the Intuition will have better ball control with an approved shaft because the head was designed to be on an offset shaft

Here's the list of approved shafts for the Debeer heads with the T.O.S. (they are all manufactured by Debeer)

As for your friend who can't get the shaft off her Intuition, if she's trying to get a new shaft, she should take it to a lax store and they will figure out how to get it off and put the new one on.

  2. Well im not quite sure but i think as long as the harrow shaft is the legal length and the head fits tightly on. Also my friend has the "Divine" head by deBeer and has it on her harrow shaft so i think its ok.

    hope this helps
