Is it illegal to have a garage sale?

Do you need like a licene to have a garage sale ?or could you just open one in your garage every month!

however in some places you need a permit to have a Yard sale

No license is needed: Late spring to early fall is considered yard and garage sale season where I live.

I would hesitate to try to do this on a monthly basis though: It might look like you're really trying to set up some kind of store but calling it just a yard sale.

no. you dont neeed one but when you put up signs on some poles cops might tear them down b.c your not allowed to put stuff on phone poles and stuff so you might want to be careful where you put signs

i use to work for the city of pasadena. most cities adopt the same law of property and land rights. so basically its legal if its on your property =)
