  1. well i have a 2006 ranger truck and i have some white led lights

    i first had them in my grand marquis and i got stopped and the cops said are your lights white or yellow?? i said white so he told me to turn them on and i said ok and even tho white looks blue with the lights on..u know looks light blue but its not he let me go..because they use dark blue..

    so of course there legal

  2. "any lights you change or add to your car is against the law." now that the bs is down, as long as they arent too noticable you shouldnt have a problem, id put them on a switch anyway just incase you happen to be driving my a group of cops.

  3. No it is perfectly legal to have white LED's on the front of your car. You put some 1W on there without a front reflector and blind people then you will have a problem.

    Here is the break down. You can add amber or white to the front. The white must be stead on and the amber can either operate as a blinker or running light. I actually have two LED tubes under my car that function as blinkers and it is perfectly legal.

    On the rear you can add red, white, amber. The red must operate as a stead on running light or a brake light. The white must only be used for license plate illumination or for back up lights. The amber can only be used as a turn signal.

    Flashing lights (other than blinkers) are strictly forbidden and they can get you in deep trouble. Any colors other than red, white, amber are strictly forbidden.

    After paying tickets for many crazy lights I rigged up.. I learned the laws and modified my lights legally.
