  1. yup it is illegal, it will never be a good pet anyway if it survives which it won't in the hands of an inexperienced person. You have to get it into a wildlife center. If it can drink and eat by itself then realease it back. Many people take in baby rabbits thinking mom has left it when most of the time mom is still there but the baby is old enough to be by itself and starts to wonder from the burrow.

  2. Most likely..

Let the rabbit go into the wild where it can roam around freely..  Cause that's just mean

  3. Yes, try  calling a wild life rehab in your area

  4. http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/orpha...  Please read this.  Not only is it likely illegal, wild rabbits carry internal and external parasites that can infect you, your family members, and any other pets you have as well as some types of bacteria that can be harmful to you.  You should not even be handling it.  90%+ will DIE in captivity, and that's with expert care!  Even if it survives infanthood, wild rabbits in almost all cases waste away and die when confined from the stress of captivity.  Unless you saw the mom dead, it's probably NOT gone.  They visit their babies only briefly during the night, and for only about 5-10 minutes total per day. The rest of the time, the babies are on their own.  If the baby is fully furred, eyes open, and ears upright, it can survive without mom in any case.  So let it go.  If you know for 100% sure that mom is dead or gone and the baby is not old enough to care for itself, it needs to go to a rehabilitator for best chances of survival.  There is a link to locate one in the site I gave you above.  By keeping it, you are being deliberately cruel because now, you know better.

  5. Yes. Unless its a BABY that can not eat or do anything on its own. Then it is legal to care for it untill then, and let it go.

It IS illigal to keep it.

  6. You can look on Illinois Department of Conservation website, but in many states it is illegal to keep native wild animals.  If it is a baby, take it to the closest nature center.  If you kept it, no one would know, but many veterinarians won't treat wild animals if it got sick.

  7. hmmm why would there be  problem? they not dangerous and spread infections and diseases

  8. yea its illegal any were  forest range could catch you and fine you and take them and ether relece them or put em down
