Is it illegal to keep any of these as pets in massachusets? < if they are y?

im 15 and almost 18 so i wanted to get a super awsome exotic pet :P i live in brockton but dont mind moving to brigwater or randolph some place close though i know i have 3 more years to go but i have a lot of money saved in my account and im still adding its so hard lol okedoky so can i keep any of these animals as pets where i live or any place near were i live? my aunt lives close and she saved a goat from a slauter place :P

can u own any indangered species i know some palces let u like miami my cousin's friends sister lol has a baby lion and she helps them grow up and stuff

  1. A llama or alpaca would not be illegal to keep in the state of Massachusetts as far as I know. But depending on where you live, you may have zoning laws that prevent you from keeping livestock, so that is something to look into.

    The wildlife type animals are pretty often illegal to keep without a permit. Although wild animals are cute, they are not cuddly and do not generally make good pets. Permits are required because you have to be specially trained to deal with such animals because of the diseases they can carry and their unpredictable behavior.

    You will probably not be able to own any wild animals as a pet (legally or safely), but if you would like to learn more about them and work with them, I would suggest contacting a local wildlife rehabber. It is possible that they could use some help caring for some animals, and with experience and time, you may even be able to help foster.
