Is it illegal to kill crows in australia? or does it vary state to state?

we do not want to kill any but am in disagreement with someone that it is legal to kill crows in New South Wales under pest management. I disagree and believe that crows are a protected species in Australia and cannot be killed. The other person disagrees because he reckons crows injure and prey upon small livestock.

According to this website, its illegal to kill crows or ravens in a few places in NSW. Apparently you need a permit from such and such before they start any culling, anyways, take a look at the website, it explains it all there. I dont know if it varies from state to state tho.
