Is it illegal to own or posses an epipen without a prescription?

Question

Following the same line of thinking, is it illegal to own something like an antibiotic or other legend drug without a prescription. I know scheduled controlled substances are a totally different issue.

No. Possession is perfectly legal. Just don't use it to treat someone else ( exception- epipen in an emergency would be fine, and possibly lifesaving--if you are sure you know what you are treating)

It would be extremely unusual, but if you gave a friend antibiotics, and they had a severe reaction, they could charge you with practicing Medicine without a license.
