Suddenly one day,my neighbor arrived with a mobile home. It's parked in front of his house. And the problem is that it is blocking the view.

Do you think it's okay for him to park a big mobile home in front of his house.I know that it's his house but it's bothering other people.

A lot of people are complaining but he doen't want to move it.

  1. yeah.if its in front of someones esles

  2. Call your local councellor or bi-law office.  Most areas do not allow temporary buildings to be placed in a residential area without a permit, usually as part of a construction project.  If he doesn't have a permit to park it there he'll have to move it.

You can probably browse the by-laws for your town or city online if you type in "by-laws + town or city name" then look for "temporary structures".

  3. Is it a mobile home or a RV?  A mobile home is a portable building.  An RV is a recreational vehicle - a motorized or towable vehicle that combines transportation and temporary living quarters for travel, recreation and camping.

It is unlikely that it is a mobile home because they need to be on concrete blocks, need septic lines, etc.

So, it is probably an RV.  It depends on your local ordanices but most state that no person shall stop, stand or park any recreational vehicle, including motor homes, mobilehomes, recreational travel trailers or campers, upon any public street within a residentially zoned area in the unincorporated portion of the county for a period longer than seventy-two hours.  In other words, it needs to be in their driveway.

Check your county's vehicle and traffic codes.

  4. If there is no code restriction in regards to how many structures he is allowed to have on HIS property, and whether they are fixed (permanent) or not , he can have the mobile home there all he wants.... Now I am also trying to understand what you mean by Mobile Home. is the thing on wheels, if it is then it is a Motor Home, and a vehcile, so unless you live in a deed restricted community and it says you can't park boats or RV's in your driveway outside, you might have to get used to it.

  5. You need to check with law enforcement.

    Depends on the local law.

Most city allow it if it is licenced vehicle, they need to follow same parking rules and restrictions.

My home owner association does not allow it and it is written in the sub division by laws and indentures. Enforcement is not easy, it is expensive and time consuming. But recoverable by lean on the violator's property, if court finds the violation, and gives judgement in the favour of the property owners, other then violator.

Problem with it is big, if the property is rented and the renter does not co-operate, then the innocent owner is stuck with the lean.

At best it is a problem.

  6. You would have to check with the city and see what the

    laws are for your area.

  7. I would say that it is illegal unless he had the proper permits and enough property.
