  1. Be very careful how you word it. State the exact facts without histrionic embellishment and preface your conclusion with "In my opinion..."


  2. Just make sure everything you say is provable truth...otherwise you could wind up with a lawsuit for slander.

  3. These are pretty tough times.   A slander suit may come in very handy for your landlord.

    "Your honor, due to the slanderous comments made by the defendant I was unable to rent my property and lost 10,000 is unpaid rent.    I deserve compensation for my loss due to the slanderous comments made by the defendant to ruin my good reputation and cause me an my family financial distress."

    BTW, craislist is NOT PUBLIC property.   It is private property and its owners do not allow this type of belly aching.    Craigslist is no more "public" then Yahoo, both are privately held companies.

  4. You can be sued for defamation.  Even if it's true, you can be sued and that gets expensive.

  5. Why not go to Craigslist and read their policy.
