  1. Not that I know of. I guess the person in question could try to get you for something if they feel you are making them look bad.

But with sites like this... http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com ...there are plenty of people out there poking fun at others.

  2. No.

However, it is illegal to publish certain kinds of information about that person.

Libel is one of those kinds of information-- false information.  Even if you are "protected" by an online alias or screen name, your identity can be revealed and you can be sued for publishing false or misleading information about someone.

You also need to be *very* careful when it comes to posting personal information about someone.  If they have not already disclosed and published it publicly online, then you do not have the right to publish it on your site.  Phone numbers, addresses, social security numbers, and other vulnerable information should be left alone.  Photos of the person can also rarely be posted without the photographed's consent.

Maybe there's a better way to deal with your anger towards this person than attempting to publicly humiliate them?

  3. Only law is if your information is incorrect.  If it's factual and you can prove the the information is a fact, it's not against the law.

  4. only if you are outright bashing the person and lying. anything you post will have to be factual and you will have to be able to proove it if she/he takes you to court. and if you loose the case, the other person can win alot of money, usually the statutory limit, which is between $3000-$5000 depending which state you live in.
