what if i get videos and edit them together and put it on youtube is that illegal

  3. if you read the copywrite warning on the dvd it says (obviouslty i'm paraprasing) you can only use the dvd for personaly use.  You can't use it for commercial purposes.  So like if you burnt it onto your computer for convience, that is not a problem.  Or even if you made a copy to watch just so you didn't scratch the original that's ok.  You just can't make a bunch of copies and sell them.  Even if you're just giving them to your friends for free or something, that is illegal.
