Is it illegal to sell tickets in front of stadiums?

I have two tickets I will need to sell for tonights game. Is it illegal to sell tickets in front of stadiums? What are the rules?

No, it's not illegal at all, you just can't sell them for an enormous profit... that is called "ticket scalping" and is illegal in all fifty states.

Sometimes it is, but for example at baseball stadiums if you sell the tickets at face value it is OK

I think in some places. In fact I know some places love it because they can show themselves as "totally booked" which can make more business!

Scalping is illegal.  I believe you can return the tickets and get your money back... but ive never wanted to do that before so i don't know.

Last time I heard it was, but its not a crime if you don't get caught. Just don't hold a big sign that says I am selling tickets.

It depends on where you are. In some places it is only illegal if you are selling the tickets above their market value and in others it is illegal regardless.

Yes but if you do sell them make sure your sell them to people with kids and make sure before you sell them the tickets to ask for the guys watch as liabelity when he gos to look at the tickets.

in some places you need to be a certain distance away...in others illegal... look for the laws for your state & county

This can very from city to city for the most part if you only sell the ticket for its face value you should be ok. i.e not selling a $150 ticket for $300

It depends on the venue, and sometimes the performers. Sometimes the rule is that you only have to be across the street, other times it's a certain # of feet away. It also depends if you're trying to make a profit. If you're just trying to unload them, then if you're selling them at face value or below, it may be allowed in some places. It usually says something on the venue's page.
