  1. NO, they will be recognised as a virus

  2. There is no legal restrictions on file types at all.  Just content, such as stuff that would be considered illegal sent in snail mail.  Death threats and such.

However, sending certain files will cause some mail readers such as outlook express to block the attachment by default.  You can get around this by just renaming the file from say script.zip to script.rename and include instructions to rename it back.  It's easier then trying to get the receiving party to disable their outlook unsafe content type.

  3. Hi

Its not illegal but if you are planing to do harm to another computer then the actions that the batch file takes are illegal .

Oh you should let the other person know what you are sending as they may think you are sending them a virus and just deleted it .

  4. Basically, no.

If the file is harmful, designed to harrass, or being transferred in violation of copyright law then it might be illegal (and other conditions could also make it illegal).

But there is nothing intrinsically illegal about it.

  5. no it is ok

  6. Illegal where exactly?  There is nothing wrong with transmitting a batch file by any means, regardless of having to compress it to hide the file type or not.  A lot of email services block this file type since it is potentially dangerous.

  7. LOL.

No, a batch file is just a text file.  It's not illegal to send it.  I would be illegal to send it if you intended to cause damage with it.
