  1. I don't know if it's legal but I think it's rude to do that.  Do people really want to breathe in ashes that have been blowing around of your dead family member?  I don't think so...or maybe their kids can crawl around and have dead person ashes all over their hands or someone can take bits of him home on the bottom of their shoes...I don't like that idea either.

This is a very good question.  I would like to know the answer.  We had a dear friend who was actually a world-renouned archaeologist who died after eating bad meat in Ethiopia.  She was 84 and in good health prior to the trip.  She had her ashes dispersed in several places...including California, Costa Rica, and Louisiana.  I have no idea what the ramifications of this are or were.  Any real answers?
