Is it illegal to throw a banana peel out the window of a car?

I usually don't throw garbage out the window of a car but banana peels are the one exception I've made in the past... Someone had convinced me that it was ok since they are biodegradable but now that I think about it, a lot of things are biodegradable...

So, I'm guessing the answer is yes but I'd just like to verify...

Throwing banana peels out the window of a car, on the ground, or someplace public other than a trash can is littering, correct?

anything you throw out of your car is considered littering and therefore illegal.

I don't know..... If your throwing it out side towards like grass, and dirt, then no..... but if your like in a city..... that's just stupid.

I do not think throwing food out would be illegal b/c it would be eaten by an animal or bugs.

yes it is illegal. Anything you throw out on to the ground is littering which you could be fined

i throw banana peels all over the garden .

One should not throw anything out of the window of a moving car

it could end up in the face of a cyclist causing him to ride of a bridge for example
