Question:

Is it illegal to transport/consume alcohol in Russell County, KY due to dry counties?

We're going on a bachelor party on lake cumberland and don't want to run into any problems bringing in kegs and such... also I don't know if we need to conceal liquer in cups on the lake? Any help would be great!!

  1. I don't think it's illegal, for the simple fact when you are staying in a dry county most places will note, "We are in a dry county, so plan your drinks accordingly."  I've always taken that to mean BYOB.

    To be on the safe side call the Kentucky State Police or the Russell County Courthouse and ask.  I always bring alcohol into dry counties -- and there's always abundent alcohol on Lake Cumberland.

  3. I would but it in cups, colored pastic cups is best. Converting Inc. have good ones.  I was in a dry county and unless you know the law there as any friends.  Be careful and use cups.  Have fun and make the kegs into a small table like or some thing.  I just would not have a lot of that in the open.  May be some sprit or mt dew some thing else around may help a bit too.
