  1. Don't think so... we used it when we were there a couple of years ago and the scarey gendarmerie (police man) who gave out to us for going the wrong way around a roundabout (it was one of those small painted on the road jobs!!) didn't say anything about it.

    So, to make a long answer short :-)  No.

  5. I think you are getting confused with radar detectors/camera warning devices. Sat nav is okay in France.
