Is it illegal to use steal leadders in ohio pay lakes?

I don't exactly know...but if is its salt water...I would anyways....Just to  be safe.    If its saltwater and you're fishing for pike, don't bother with steel leaders, just use a piece of 20-40 pound test as a leader with an albright knot to your main line... If you're fishing for musky, since they have serrated teeth, you have to use a leader. So anyways. Use a leader if the fish are not leader shy, unless you're pike fishing in which case you could just use some high pound test Berkley Vanish.

  3. They should have the regulations posted or you can call them to find out. I've never heard of it being illegal but I could be wrong. It could also depend on what type of fish they have. If they only have bass and blue gill I don't see a need for the steel leaders. If they have saugeye and musky I wouldn't see why it would be illegal.
