  1. If you read the Highway Code it will answer your question. You will find it full of useful information. You did read it before you took your test, didn't you? Oh! Sorry! Silly question!

  2. No not at all. In fact if you park on a slope it's best to leave your tires at an angle to the kerb, so if your handbrake fails (or if you forget to put it on :-S) the kerb acts like bricks and stops the car from continuing to roll.

  3. I think part of it may be that if they are parked illegally, its harder to tow with the tires turned if they are up against a curb but not impossible.

  4. Yes because you may not remember the way that they were and hit the side cars when leaving a parking spot.

  5. tires should be pointed to hit the curb & stop the car if it accidentally rolls, to the right if parked headed down hill to the left if headed up hill.

this practice was started in the days when parking brakes were not reliable & parked cars sometimes rolled down the street when the brake slipped. this method of parking is still the law in some states.

  6. No, there's no danger.

  7. The only real reason to leave the wheels turned is if you are parked on a slope where the car could roll.

  8. I wouldn't worry about it. Some people do, but that's simply a symptom of OCD.

  9. nah, its not important.  Ill crank em towards the curb if im parking on hill incase the ebrake fails, other than that its not a biggy.  sometimes ill turn my wheels when i park because it shows off the rims more :P

  10. With a manual shift,  turn the tires into the curb downhill in case the hand brake fails.

With an automatic,  not so important.
