Is it imposible to get a job in London without reference??

my experience says for students or college leavers itz impossible 2 get a job without reference.(i mean sum1 who have authority to get u a job in particular place and refers u) itz so unfair nd itz nt just me i have heard dis from so many other people.i have seen dis as well. in stores where my friends work dey got job coz sum1 dey knw already works dere.so unfair. i knw even open recruitment's days already hav booked candidates. with all the relevant experience dey dnt take a secnd 2 turn u down.itz sort of corruption!isn't it??

itz almost useless to look4 a part time job unless u knw u have sources especially in stores like supermakets and clothing or sports wear.i cant say much about graduate jobs coz i hvnt xperince it yet??bt i firmly believe dat this unfairness exists ALOT.this is my opinion. i didnt jst write it down i xperienced all distress and i knw derez more 2 come.do u agree???

Wow.  Type in English next time.  It was nearly impossible to read your post.  I certainly hope you use better grammar and spelling on the forms, or you'll be forever unemployed.

No I don't agree. There are loads of jobs in shops and offices available....you have to fill in the forms WELL....I hope you don't fill in the forms like you just wrote this question! Your grammar is awful!

You won't have any problem getting a job,illegal, inarticulate, immigrants like you are welcomed with open arms in London.

ask ur college teacher for reference do some voluntary work once a week and get reference from them try try try and neva give up u will get something if u just try

I have had a million and one jobs some good some ****.  None of which have ever chased up ferences and most didnt even ask.

You will be fine.  Just get to know people and ask in the circles you would like to work in.  A great CV and covering letter does the trick.

Well I m so sorry that what happen to u.

But its the reality in London. We just can't do anything.....It's not in our hand. I m completely agree with u with this matter..It happened to me as well..But I survived. Honestly speaking.........U don't even need any experiences to do those supermarket's shopkeeping job.

nothing is impossible where it comes to jobs but youll have to cope with low salary for the first few years
