ugh thats how i feel...i used to have really clear skin, until i turned 17...now i have pimples and lots of whiteheads...for about a year, it was horrible...but as of now, it looks more calm, yet still not very appealing :( i've tried other products (neutrogena, clean and clear, clearsil, paula's choice) but none of them worked...as of now, im using cetaphil because i know it wont damage my skin any further, but its not really helping much...im so scared to try proactiv because ive read a lot of negative feedbacks about it more than positive...i would see a dermatologist, but they are too darn expensive!!!

what should i do?

  1. don't use toothpaste - loads of ppl say it works, but it isn't good for ur skin & can sometimes make it worse!

try cleansing, toning & moisturizing - it is one of the best ways, it'll completely clean ur skin at night. use it like every other night.

use a cleanser first, use ur fingers & put it on ur face, then use a cotton pad & gently wipe that off. using a clean cotton pad, put some toner on it & just gently wipe over ur face, then lightly moisturize.

make sure u take all ur make up off before hand, & i expect there will be instructions on the back of the bottles.

  2. Almost everyone gets pimples at some point. Since yours have started in your later teen years, it could be a hormone imbalance. You could try seeing a regular doctor who could prescribe birth control pills or another hormone if that would help.

  3. did you try toothpaste??

  4. Skin is an amazing thing.. it has the ability to heal itself, it just takes time and effort !! help your skin along by drinking lots of water, using cleanser and moisturizers, and clean non-comodegenic makeup !! eat right, excerise, sun screen all that !! patience is key.
