  1. Most Germans DO know English (actually about 80% of them!!), it really all depends on how YOU approach them... if you don´t try to at least show some rudimentary german language skills they might not see the point in trying their school english out on you... Stubborn bunch they are :-)

Since at least one second language is mandatory in german schools your chances of finding someone who speaks enough English are good. But please, do try to learn the language at least a little to show you´re interested and open minded. There are several jobs you won´t need to know the language for but first you´ll need to check if you need a working permit!

There are also US military posts that offer jobs to locals and US citizens alike! Good luck!

  2. No, it's fine, but you'll have to take some language courses when u get there

  3. Do you have a working permission for Germany?

If you have one, you might work as an English teacher or something (if this is your language) ... or you have to work as garbage man (they are on strike right now, I think) or something like that. But unemployment rate is high in Germany these days so I won´t hope for a good job there if I can´t speak German ...

  4. ich spere deutch , upper nicht su feille , ich habbe einnen deutch course im institue

  5. if u got one, life would be miserable without co-operating with ur partners, surroundings e.t.c. .so why do u think u can live for once in there?

  6. It depends on , what you want to do for living. But I guess it is better to learn the language.

    :-)

  7. most speak english, but it is very rude and selfish to live and work in a country where you have no grasp of the language. if you are willing to pack up and move to a foreign country, then you should be willing to start learning the language. do not expect people to cater to you and speak your language. you are in THEIR country. show some respect and at least try to learn. germans are very nice and willing to help if you show you are trying.

  8. If you get a civilian job on a military post then you want need to know German at all, but I would advise you to learn at least a few words. Must Germans will speak to you in English if you try to speak to them in German first. Another option is to travel to Germany and immerse yourself in their culture and language. It is very easy to pick up Germanwhen you hear it all day long. For civilian jobs here is a phone number to the AAFES human resources in Schweinfurt, Germany. They will be able to help you from there. The number is 011499721787113. Remember Germany is 6 hours ahead of EST.

  9. Most Germans don't speak English. I would say that if you work for an international company, you can work there without knowing any German.

  10. no it is alright not to know the language

  11. Yes, that´s true! Wherever you go in Germany, there will ever be someone who can speak English! But if you go to a country, you should be able to speak the language they speak there. Getting jobs in Germany is easy, when you are well educated. (=>studied at university e.g.)

By the way, German is very easy to learn, and the people are very kind and will help you. Good luck :-)
