Is it impossible to go to law school and get your masters at the same time?

  1. No; lots of law schools have joint JD/MA programs.  It's just a lot of extra work, and it might mean some additional time before you can graduate.


  2. No. Some schools actually have formal programs, where you get, for example, both a JD/MBA, or an MBA/MD, or an MBA/MPH. But where formal programs don't exist, if the school offers a masters in your second subject, you can ask about dual degree options.  

  3. It really depends. If the law school does not offer a duel degree which you are interested in, then while it is technically not impossible to do a separate JD and Masters degree at the same time, it will become overwhelming and it will become impossible to complete both.

    The first year of law school is a lot of hard work and very time consuming, you will need every spare minute to get the job done and because of this, you will find that most duel degree only permit law classes in the first year of the duel degree program.

    So unless you find a duel degree program which you want, then I would advise against enrolling in both.
