Has it ever been done before on a par 72 championship course ever? If not... what was the closest anybody got to, to the perfect round?

  1. No, but it's never been done, and probably never will, simply because it requires near-perfection.  The lowest I've ever heard is 59, done a few times by different people.  I know the first one was in Memphis on the PGA Tour at a par 70 course, so that was 11 under.  Don't know if there've been any on par 72 courses.

  2. It is impossible don't fool yourself that it can be done

  3. The lowest score on any tour event is a 59... not quite -18

  4. Possible, but extremely unlikely. You'd have several ways of doing this, like 17 birdies and an eagle, but it would be very hard to do, even for the most experienced. I don't think even Tiger Woods would be able to pull it off.

  5. sure its possible. just birdie/eagle alot

  6. It is not possible but it has never been done

    nobodys perfect

  7. Sure!  I do it all the time playing Tiger Woods on Playstation.  Real life?  Certainly not!

  8. In a perfect world you could hole in one every hole and have a score of 18 which would put you at 54 under par.

One person has shot way under par....Believe it or not

  9. Absolutely, but its much easier to shoot 18 OVER!!!!!

  10. Possible - Highly unlikely!

  11. Yeah. Just birdie every hole.

  12. it is possible but very unlikely

  13. I would say that this would be near impossible to do. It would mean shooting a 54, when, for most pro's the magic number would be 59 or 13 under par, par being 72. The last PGA pro to shoot a 59 in an PGA event to my knowledge is David Duval in 1999. Tiger came close not too long ago with a 61 but he missed it.

  14. It is not impossible to score 18 under par in one round. It's what Annika Sorenstam is talking about when she talks about "Vision 54". "Vision 54" is the theory that every hole can be birdied. It's not very likely, but it is possible. Technically, the lowest round possible is an 18, which would be 54 under. That is impossible because no one can drive a golf ball on a golf course more than like 500 yards. Also, if that were to happen, someone would say to him, "Bet you can't do that again."

  15. no,you have to play a really easy course

  16. Possible: sure

    Probable: NOO

Lowest score ever on tour is 58.

If your playing mini golf, you would still be hard-pressed to shoot that low.

Videogames are the only spectrum in which this feat can be achieved.

  17. Of course its possible. On tour the lowest score is thirteen under. The biggest hurdle with a round like that is mental.  Its similar to the 4 minute mile. Everyone thought it was impossible until one person did it and then everyone was doing it.  Almost everybody has a comfort zone with their scoring and when you drop well below that, you can begin to get very defensive and play poorly right back into your comfort zone.  We call that fear of success.

  18. whats his name from north korea hit 11 hole in ones his first time ever to play golf

  19. Yes it is impossibe to score under 18.

  20. Sure it is.  On a regular course (par 72), If you birdie every par 4 (-10), eagle every par 5 (-8), and ace every par 3 (-8) your looking at 26 under par.  Ever seen that commercial where the took Jack's best score from every hole at Augusta and put it together?  49, dude. 23 under.

58 is the magic number on tour.  You would be hard pressed to see anyone crack 60 on today's lengthy courses.

  21. It is possible to do. If you can get on the green in regulation and one putt youcan actually have a chance at shooting 22 under. If you birdie the 3's and 4's and eagle the 5's. Although I've heard of people shooting an Albatross before or double eagle. I am pretty sure it;s never been done before though.

  22. Not impossible, but I think the lowest score in a tournament is 13 under par (59 on a par 72).
