Is it inappropriate for a Gulf Arab going to Egypt for business to wear their Gulf national dress?

Hi,

would it be considered inappropriate for a Gulf Arab to wear their national dress called Kandora (the long white one they wear with the gutra-or the headpiece) in Egypt if they are going there for business?

No, it should be absolutly ok.

Actually many Gulf Arabs feel at home in Egypt more than anywhere else. Many go to Egypt for holidays with their families because they know that their wives and daughters can still dress they same as back in their homes.
