I think AFL will be adopted as a global sport.. which kinda sucks because aussie rules is unique to the Australian culture and once people try to take over.. our pride is gone.

If the league gets their s*it together and markets the sport around the world, especially to the MONEY available for sponsorships in America, no.

Andrew and his fellow wankers have to understand that footy can be a great spectacle for America, if he would just try to market it here. If Andrew continues to keep his head in the sand, well, footy may suffer because of lack of funding--Andrew seems to hate US dollars.

First off, get the game on television here on a channel that most Americans can see it!!!!!

No it's been tried before.  Basketball had a big wave ... faded to be an also ran.  Soccer ... nup - Melbourne have a top team and still don't draw much more than the average Home and Away AFL crowd.

It's a passion in all the southern states in particular that just won't be replaced that easily.  

I think southerners find other sports interesting but never anything to replace their footy team!  Northerners will NEVER understand that, no matter how many teams they shove into Sydney and Brisbane.

sorry but that really annoys me, the afl is the Australian football league, not all players get to play at that level.

any way, no. Aussie rules will always be around, the Americans are trying to Americanize the whole planet, our kids talk, dress, act like them, they would love our kids to follow their c**p sports and they do.

our game has been around for 150 years, we have to remain Australian, be proud and love who we are, footy is part of us,nearly every one has a team, as the rugby league supporters do, it will never be crowded out by any other sport in this country.
