  1. See a doctor, you can get prescription medication to help you fall asleep and stay asleep.

  2. ask yourself some questions:

Are you doing exercise or eating before bed? Are thoughts keeping you up? Are you comfortable?

Don't eat or exercise before bed, that's a good way to have yourself keyed up. If you have a bunch of thoughts keeping you up try journaling before bed to collect your thoughts and get them out of your head.

If you're not comfortable it may be time for a new mattress. If none of these things are it here's a few tips for better sleep from a true insomniac:

    1. make sure there are as few wrinkles in your sheets as possible when you lay down to go to sleep.

    2. take a few deep breaths with you eyes closed as you lay in bed, this can help lower your heart rate and help your muscles relax.

    3. turn on some soft music.  Sometimes it takes a bit of noise for your sub conscious to focus on to allow you to sleep.

    4. Try drinking Chamomile tea before bed.

    5. If none of these things work and you're really desperate try taking 2 benedryl if it makes you drowsy) before bed.  I do thin when my insomnia is bad, do it for about 3 nights in a row, then quit taking it, you should sleep normally after that. (Until the next bout of insomnia)

also, make sure you get lots of exercise throughout the day, get nice and tired.

  3. It is very possible you may have insomnia. However it could just be a deficiency of melatonin (a natural chemical your body releases when it decides it's time to sleep).

This problem could also pertain to your daily activities and what you are doing before you go to sleep. If you have a mentally exhausting job you may feel tired, but your body is wound up with energy and vice verse.

Try exercising during the day. And if you want to go to bed at a certain time, let's say 10pm; turn off all the electronics such as television and music an hour before so you can let your mind and body wind down. Just relax or try yoga. Your body should be calmed down and ready to sleep.

If problems persist, i would suggest looking for expert advice from either a doctor or pharmacist.

  4. I think not. It's related to the habit.Compared to the night drivers, they sleep day time and work night time.
