Humans are unique and should develop their uniqueness, not mimic each other like hungry politicians.

  1. Humans use language and societal rules that require a large amount of symmetry from person to person. Everything from religion to tv shows use cultic thinking to keep members a part of the scene.

When I was younger I used to walk around Harvard Sq, in Cambridge Massachusetts. Skateboard kids lined the square in mohawks and gothic attire and called themselves punk. I used to ask these kids why they were dressed that way and they said they didn't want to "conform" and they wanted to "rebel." I would ask why they were dressing the same way their parents did twenty years earlier and they would look disgusted and walk away. Oddly all the rebels seem to dress the same way. The reason the anarchists have a symbol (the A in a circle,)  is because there ARE NO ANARCHISTS. They are all groupies to the cult of anarchy or rebellion or goth or punk or whatever.

I try and show my secret radical nature by agreeing with everyone I meet, so I agree I must be really lazy.

  2. Most people do not think for themselves, sad to say. The usual tendency is for people to find the most popular opinion, and repeat it. Have you noticed how a new term is coined by someone, and then others use it, and before you know, everyone repeats it blindly and it has no meaning left? This is particularly true on political talk shows, stock responses of politicians etc. Just to give an example, remember during the Democratic primaries, someone said something like 'it is mathematically impossible for Hillary to win'. It wasn't long before every talking head was talking about 'the math'.

    Just my opinion.
