Is it just SC, or do all Publix grocery stores use the bare minimum employees to try to get things done?

Safety? Why do all the pallet jacks have no safety backing? Only a milk jack. No electric pallet jacks. Wouldn't an electric pallet jack make it easier and more efficient to unload trucks? Especially grocery trucks. Grocery personnel do enough walking on the floor of the grocery store, much less using most of their leg energy in the back pulling pallets from the truck with a manual pallet jack. That affects productivity on the floor. Definitely with the bare minimum of stockers. Also, why sort and stack all your new ad items that are going on displays, back onto the bunkers when you're going to build them the next day anyways? Maybe leave it on pallets, so someone doesn't have to do double the work? And most annoying, why does grocery have to work all three shifts every week? 1st, 2nd, and overnight?

this is a rant not a question....................

how about asking your employer these questions they are the only ones that can give you an answer that will address your situation.

they probably have a reason for the way they do things so.....ASK

if they don't have a reason you might just have come up with a new way and things might change. until you ask and know the reason why you will be tempted to do things your own way and end up getting fired for it.

communication is a great tool..............when used!

publix sucks.  They have people without a college education running stores and making over 100K a year.  and they have uneducated hoes as deli managers who have employees that they have a relationship with outside of work that becomes intimidated by you b/c you are a better worker and she tells the deli manager lies, which inturn the deli manager tells the store manager and you don't know what the h**l is going on.  Publix sucks.
