Is it just me, or are all those spoof movies not at all funny...???

I'm of course talking about scary movie 4, meet the spartans, the date movie, epic movie,...and of course the newest "DIsaster movie"

I mean, i've seen pretty much all of them, and the only reason i watch them is that i like the idea of people poking fun at other movies i'm a fan of- and i ALWAYS hope that they will actually follow through by doing something funny for once, but its always stupid or gross...or really gross.

As for the previews for "Disaster Movie", this one just looks SOO stupid.

Did anyone actually think it was funny when the lady who looked nothing like Juno was like "and this is my baby's foot..?!?!?"

WHAT?? HOW IS THAT FUNNY??

anyways, does anyone here agree with me or do you all just love this stuff??

The first Scary Movie was excellent, but Hollywood gets a genre and beats it to death! The first spoof movie was probably Airplane, which had some lovely bits in it, but nowadays the money goes on the effects and they don't seem to spend it on the scriptwriters amy more. Is this a sign that we're getting old and crotchety?

I think they're just jealous because they can't make an ORIGINAL hit movie, so they have to make fun of film makers that can.

Alot of the jokes are so stupid, and over the top.  Some of it is funny, but for the most part, it reeks of jealousy.

But the Juno thing is actually an addition spoof on "You dont Mess with the Zohan".

   The   only    reason    why   im   seeing   it   is   because   of   Carmen    Electra,    and    that   funny    guy   from   Bad   Santa   Tony   Cox.     I    think     they    should    do    a    spoof   movie  called     Giant    Movie    that    makes    fun    of     movies    King  Kong   which    Carmen   Electra   can   play,    Godzilla    which    maybe       Carmen   Electra   can   also   play,     and    other   films   including    giants      Honey   I   Blew  Up   The  Kid,    Attack  Of  The   50   Foot   Woman     both     movies,      Village   Of   The  Giants,      30    Foot    Bride   Of    Candy   Rock.

No, they aren't funny, but as I've been saying for years, morons are loose and most of them are in Hollywood.

On the up side, there are indeed good spoofs out there, you just have to look a little harder.

Spaceballs--excellent

Young Frankenstein--Hysterical

Galaxyquest

The Lost Skeleton of Cadavera--spoof of 50's B movies.  Brilliant.

Fido--Lassie with zombies. Recommended.

Zebraman--I'm not sure if this qualifies as a spoof or not,but it is SO funny.

As far as i'm concerned, the people producing these movies think they will get a laugh.

However, i agree with you and don't find them funny at all.

Just stupid, and not the haha stupid, the "omg this is so dumb" stupid.

i've watched spaceballs, and it was decent, but not something i would specifically request for.

i belive all sppof movies are destined to horrible-ness.

making fun of someone elses art *no matter how bad the art is from the beginning* is just not right.

but somehow mad tv pulls it off, and i love mad tv.

so maybe i'm being a hypocrite???

i'm not sure, and i'm too tired to seriously consider it. haha.

the few funny things in all these movies, the directors pound into it so hard, that in the end it's not funny.

like veryone is tired of people making fun of brittany spears.

The first 2 scary movies were funny. Afterwards all the "___ movie" just haven't been funny. They try to hard, and they just end up stupid

if they really want to do these kinds of movies right, then these writers,directors,actors etc need to watch the "Aiplane" movies, "Robin Hood:Men in Tights","Galaxy Quest" and "Spaceballs". At least these movies only spoof one movie and not try to spoof everything that's  popular or hot at the time.
