Question:

Is it just me, or are the Packers starting to look like the bad guys?

We know Brett wants to play, and he's said that he's willing to compete for the job, but GB wants nothing to do with him. So why don't they just give him his release, or trade him to the team he wants to go to? And the whole "paying him to stay retired" is an insult. They have no business telling a man that he can't work and earn a living. If he wants to play, It's his right. It just seems that the Packers are dragging this out longer than it should have been.

  1. He retired and now he wants to come back. NFL has a salary cap, its not as easy as everyone is making it out to be. Players would have to be cut because Brett wants to come back. Just because he Brett Farve doesn't mean the world should stop for him. If this was in another kind of field without the media coverage, no one would give a d**n.

  2. yeup , if favre wants to play he should let rogers play and go to another team like bengals to bring them to the superbowl with chad johnson

  3. Because this is what the Packers wanted all along, for Favre to ride into the sunset and go away, they really don't want him or want to see him on another team, this is why it is be"dragged" out if Goodell would'nt have stepped in,they would have been just happy to stonewall Favre even more.

  4. If he wanted to come back he should have done so before the draft where the Packers drafted two QB's.

  5. looks like that want him to retire as a great QB as a GB packer. also they don't want him to go anywhere else and be successful because it would look like it was a bad decision going forward with aron Roger if he plays badly.

its just greenbay has a great tradition and farve is was part of that, I know they was ready to hang is jersey from the roof as one of the great greenbay players.....and ir looks like its not going to happen.

  6. It's because they know that the Packers fans will hate the Packers officials if they do anything other than keep Brett in Green bay.

Personally, I still (and always will) think of Brett Favre as the bad guy. He has put the Packers in an awkward situation and its really unfair that an organization with such a proud history has to deal with this drama queen.

  7. don't you watch ESPN?  maybe he'll be an "ambassador" for the packers like other players were (emit smith for example)

  8. thay are holding brett hostige. the packers want brett to play for them and them only.the packers want a first round pick for brett.A FIRST ROUND PICK FOR A 38 YEAR OLD QB.the packers are making thes very heard for brett!!!!!
