It is interesting to see people when you ask direct questions that just need a yes or no answer, and people add comments which have nothing to do with the question asked.

Is it just me or am I totally lost? Ideas why that people do this and not think for themselves?

  1. Because it's just too much work for the mind to think for itself.

This people are born to live like zombies.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of them.

  2. yes, generally! i don't know, maybe they are trying to give a more in depth answer?

  3. It is true.  They are completely conditioned to be sheep and follow the belligerent leader.  Anything Bill O Reilly says, the GOP cult parrots.  Anything heard on CNN, the Democrat parrots reiterate.

There is no independent thinking allowed.

Otherwise, Ron Paul would have won by a landslide.  People love fascism and hate liberty, while venorating the founding fathers, not for their ideas and beliefs, but simply because they founded this nation.

  4. You're right, but this happens from both sides of the political fence.

  5. Nope...your dead on. I can't understand why some people follow the news like it's gospel. Once it's in their heads they can't get past it either, even when I can overwhelmingly prove them wrong with facts. They will take propaganda over truth because Katie says so!

I am very afraid that we have a lot of these sheep who are gonna vote this election too. The media controls the masses, and Obama is their golden boy...were doomed!

  6. Critical thinking in a nutshell.

TV shows, news, and advertisements use catch phrases that people pick up in their short attention spans. Instead of actually thinking about an issue, they cut and paste from snippets and clips they retained. American culture is known as pop culture and that is kinda how many seem to choose to think and operate at.

We want everything quick, simple, and to the point, throwing in just enough other info to sound like we have a clue or are in the know. Some of our youth take this to another level. We are not teaching critical thinking, whether in schools or through families/parents. Shame on our society, we will be the architects of our own demise.

  7. The TV is literally the worst invention ever, it has to be.

When we get home, we turn on the television, and absorb the information therein. It is an unfortunate fact that some people sit there and just take in everything in front of them without questioning it because they are programmed to be lazy, or just accepting of what governments tell you.

It's amusing that we use computers daily, and the only reason they do what we want them to do is because they are programmed to...can anyone see that is the same that is  happening to us as the human race?

We are being programmed to accept and do things by govts the world over, and independent thoughts have gone out of the window.

I personally think that people are too worried about money, jobs, taxes, and daily living to worry about anything else as they are too self-absorbed with balancing their own life, so in order to make it look like they are knowledgeable, they simply go along with what has been pushed into their computer chip and regurgitate it.

Just imagine for a moment how much better the world would be if people took responsiblity and thought for themselves?
