Is it just me, or has the quality of cartoons suck B****s nowadays?

And before you ask, yes, i've watched cartoons when I was young, and yes now that i'm older that i may not understand today's animation, but seriously, cartoons today are lacking. Who agrees?

It really depends. When you are a kid, even the worst cartoon can seem like gold.

However I do believe that shows are lacking these days. The 80s and even the early 90s had great shows, Ninja Turtles, He-Man, She-Ra, Transformers, Ghostbusters (Extreme and Real), Defenders of the Earth, Thundercats, COPS, MASK, Bucky O'Hare, Captain Planet, Ducktales Captain Simian, Dogtanian, The Chipmunks, Chip N Dale,

Just look at classic Inspector Gadget compared to Gadget Boy or the CG series (so cheap it doesn't have background sound effects). They suck.

Not one of these shows that have been remade in recent years comes close to the being as amazing as the originals, h**l I still watch Thundercats to this day. I'd rewatch any of these shows just to avoid the old ones. I'm not letting my kids (when I have them) or niece watch modern tv, she's going to be raised on true classics.

I agree with you 100%. The cartoons in the 90s rocked and now they just are nothing.. It's a bit sad if you ask me.

american cartoons nowadays are just c**p so i agree with u on that.....but if u look at japanese animation (anime) its really great detailed cartoons, with great story lines...thats why i love anime so much....its just really awesome, and fun to watch.

That's exactly the reason why so many people turn to anime nowadays.

Modern cartoons as seen on Cartoon Network and such are just a bunch of tweened stock images.

I remember getting up early in the weekends to watch great cartoons when I was little, compared to the classics from the 90's modern day cartoons are hopeless.

American animation is a load of bull. It's all humor and no story. Not to mention that a majority of the artwork is total c**p for lots of shows. Cause you see, cartoons are aimed at 12 and under on cartoon blocks and channels in this country. In Japan, anyone can watch and read anime and manga ( respectively ) probably because it's regarded as a hobby.

ugh i hate american cartoons w/ a passion theres nothing to them nno point in watching them they're not even funny...i loved old cartoons from the '90s....nowadays i stick to anime it has a much better story and more depth to the plot and the characters
