  1. No I'm very happy also. Manny was 36 years old and was just about Manny making comments saying stuff like "Boston doesn't deserve a player like me". Now we got a 29 year old kid who just keeps putting up good stats on the board. I'm very happy this trade went through

  2. Its really everybody because he had such an ego. He thought he was the center of the red sox team.  He really didn't care about his own team, just his offense and if he got a hit.  I think the red sox  are really happy, so is Manny.  I'm just sad about Joe Torre because now he has to deal with him for at least 2 months

  3. I love watching how red sox fans have quickly turned on their players.  No wonder no one wants to play for the red sox.  Fans like you are pathetic.

  4. I don't second guess the Red Sox brain trust after they brought us two championships in three years, but I don't think this makes the team better. Bay looks like a nice player, but he very obviously is not a Hall of Famer. He doesn't look like the kind of guy who could carry a team on his back down a critical stretch in September, like Manny can, or for a play off series, like Manny can. But this time the whole Manny being Manny thing seems to have gone to far and he just had to go. Bay will be productive. They can still win it all without Manny, but some other players are going to have to get super hot.

  5. It's bittersweet.  Manny has been a huge thorn in the side of the Red Sox and a distraction to say the least.  But, he still puts up the numbers!!  If Jason Bay can come in and replace the bat up to Manny's level, then good riddance.  Have fun Joe Torre!

  6. YA WHAT JESETH SAID

  7. Not just you.

  8. inh a way im absolutely pissed but in another sense im very happy. manny has been slacking but i think i speak for red sox nation when i say that i love manny ramirez. is he the best for the team? no. but he brought action and comedy into boston every time he stepped into left field. im 15 and a football player, ive broken 19 bones, and i cried for 10 minutes. then i realized that bay is a fantastic player.  i think were going to lose more games and then win a c**p load so no worries.

  9. As a Red Sox supporter, I am glad...many of us are.

  10. happy, did you see that sign he was holding yesterday? Yeah prettty lame.

  11. Only someone brainwashed by the Boston media thinks this is a good idea.

Nice smear campaign Boston,  Congratulations, you traded a Hall of Famer for and everyday Joe.

Manny Ramirez is a 1st ballot Hall of Famer and one of the greatest hitters baseball has ever seen.

    I'm buying a Dodgers hat.

  12. Yes im very hapy because i hate the red soxs!!!! Boston as a sports city just plain sucks!!!!!! It's all about the city of angels as anthony kiedis puts it. Go Dodgers Angels world series baby!!!!!!

  13. I'm not a Sox fan, but I used to be a big Manny fan.  He's really become a blob of laziness and I have no idea why anyone would be interested in him.  He is paid far too much for the lack of effort.

If I made $20 million a year, I certainly would work my butt off for 7-8 months a year, and then take 4-5 months off.  I wish we could give superstars reality checks.

  14. since im a dodger fan im happy......... man i hope he makes his debut on saturday vs the diamonbacks............ diamonbacks get ready to lose the series.... you guys lost last time in arizona now its time to play in LA

    dodgers #1

  15. i am happy.  i live in boston.  been a sox fan for years.  sometimes it just doesn't matter that a player has raw talent.  if a players off field antics demoralize the team or distracts the team mates from playing the game, then it is time for him to go.  while i have enjoyed his cavalier attitude, it has its time and place.  he doesn't have a l**k of sense and little care of the effect his actions have on his fellow players.

it was fun.  he is a great player.  but its time to win ballgames, not complain about the deal you made 8 years ago and could barely live with the whole time.

    .

  16. its just you

  17. I am. His attitude was weighing down, and affecting their playing. Manny even stated it was time to go. He has spent a long time on the Red Sox and as any other job life goes on.

  18. I'm happy....but I'm a yankee fan so anything to make the sox worse cheers me up!
