  1. no its not just you. as you age 1 year represents a smaller fraction of your life. so for a 4 year old, 1 year is a quarter of their life. for a 20 year old its a 20th of their life.

    thats my theory anyway.

  2. Most of us feel the same but time passes on as always all years pass the same way but we feel this year has gone by fasre. So its the same for all of us

  3. I was thinking that recently too.

It's as if it's speeding up to something big :|

  4. It's not just you. At my age a blink of the eye and two years have gone by.

  5. yeah..  I've noticed it too.. but I guess that's because we're just getting busy and losing the track of time..

  6. time is totally driftingg away

  7. yeah to me it seems to go faster each year i have no idea why it felt like yesterday when i started high school haha

  8. oh my goodness I was just thinking that this morning,

Is it because I am getting older ? (dont know how old you are) or is time actually speeding up !!!!! (dramatic music plays !!! Du du du DER)

no seriously , I just cant believe its nearly August! I remember thinking at Christmas 'I bet it will be round again in the blink of an eye !'

Oh I wish I had been wrong ..........wheres my tardis !!

  9. your right...one moment it was still june when i was laughing off my mom coz she's already planning for my debut which is on august...and now I'm rushing coz it's fast approaching!

  10. Wait to you get a bit older. It absolutely flys by!!

  11. Kind of slow we had our dog excape and after 7 1/2 months just got him back 3 days ago

    .. . ..

We had him for almost 24 hours he came from a pet shelter for abused pets and was scared to death of people

    .. . ..

Came out only at night and was trap smart found out he only would come to females even then only with caution that is how we got him back a woman got him and took him to a vet that scanned his neck for a Home again chip and wa la

    .. . ..

Kirby is back to his new home once again

    .. . ..

If dogs could talk what kind of stories would Kirby have to tell of the last almost 8 months

    .. . .

You are the first person to know this outside our neighbors TELL the world Kirby is home

    .. . ..

He has a lot of viszlea (I think is how you spell it) in him was told.

    .. . ...

  12. It seems like it, I guess the whole responsibility thing takes up a lot of your time.

  13. I know, it's really bad. I found that routines (which do help me get through each week) also make everything seem the same and a week turns into a month turns into a year...

  14. It's normal, you have more things to do, more things bothering you... You think about a lot more, so yeah, it does passes faster.

But for some reason, school doesn't.

  15. good heavens yeah!! the past 4 years have been so fast! i thought it was just me!! i bet theres some sort of conspiracy afoot!

  16. Definitely as you get older the months fly by. I wait all winter for the swallows to return in April, hoping for a good summer then next thing you know its October they are gone and its nearly Christmas (apologies for mentioning this word).

  17. No its not just you.   It's been know for a very long time.  But the sad thing is, most just don't want to hear it, even though they realize it is taking place they just try to rationalize it away as 'signs of aging' or other acts of denial.

Now that you know it, what will you do about it?   It was written long ago, and now you see it for yourself.

    Matt 24

22 If the time had not been cut short, no one would live. But because of God's chosen people, it will be shortened.

  18. It sure seems that way - although I read that for children as they are so much younger, one year to them takes about 5 times as long as an adult's year (I can't recall the exact scientific technicalities of the explanation as it was a while back, sorry!).

Remember how when you were a kid it would be AGES til Christmas, but when you're an adult before you know it, we're in October and then oh, heck it's that time again.

I suppose when you're little you're not fretting about the bills, mortgage, car, job, etc etc too which probably helps!

  19. It's age.  The older we get, the faster time seems to be slipping thru our fingers.  Do more with your life, or clean more.  Either way time stands still when you are scrubbing a bathtub!

    41 female.

  20. Star for you :)

    Good question.

I think we are just busier as we get older.

  21. Proportionally to your age, each year is shorter than the year before.  At 10, every year is 10% of your life.  At 20, every year is 5% of your life.  By the time you reach 40, every year is the equivalent to the length summer break for a 10 year old.  Add in the effects of stress and a busier schedule, and it seems like even less.

  22. yea, and I'm only 13!!!

  23. Sadly its called getting old!

  24. techinily yes it is im not quite sure how much faster but its like a tenth of a second faster that the one before so every 60 years a year is a whole minet shorter

  25. its not just you. i actually forget how old i am sometimes lol

  26. There is a lovely quote:

"Life is like a toilet roll.  The closer to the end you get, the faster it goes"!

How can I possibly have a daughter who is rising 49 when I am only, er..., 20 or 30 something or other?  Or maybe 40 and a very big bit?!

  27. Tell me about it, like i woke up this morning and thought to myself- wow were more than half way through the year already!?. I've only just recovered from xmas 07and in four months we've gotta do it all over again!.

  28. There isn't a person in this world who doesn't feel like that.  I remember when I was a child and said to my mom. "Why does the time go by so slowly?"  She told me "Wait till you get older, you wont' say that then?"  Truer words were never spokem.  I'm 62 now and I can't believe how fast the time goes by.  It's seems only a short time ago that I had my first child. Now he's 41.  It's only because as children, we get bored very easily.  As adults, we have so much occupying our time, it seems there's not enough hours in the day to use up that time. thus, it flies by, when in actuality, it has not gone by any faster today, then it did 50 yrs ago.

  29. Yep, times traveling to fast and i don't like it!

  30. Yes I completely agree

  31. It definitely feels like it especially this year for some reason, I think as you get older and you get more responsibility and more aware of time passing and that your getting older it seems to fly by faster all the time.
