Question:

Is it just me, or is the Jericho/HBK storyline starting to look a lot like the Roode/Booker storyline?

Before people panties get in a bunch, I'm not saying WWE copied TNA. I'm just saying that it's starting to look similar. They started feuding over respect with Jericho (Roode) getting the better or HBK (Booker) and just when it was about to be over, Jericho slugs HBK's wife (Sharmell) and leaves with a shocked look on his face, apologetic at first and then says it's HBK's fault and cuts a promo on Raw that sounded a lot like Roode's promo on Booker.

Ok, maybe I am saying that WWE is copying TNA, but isn't meant to be a potshot at the WWE. But does anyone else who watches both see the similarities?

WQ: Is brining Carlito's little brother up to the main roster a way for the WWE to try and appease Carlito? Or is Carlito's little brother that talented?

  1. The similarities are definitely there.

WQ: I've heard that Carlito's brother has more passion for the business than Carlito, so I don't think it was a move to make Carlito happy, especially since he was moved to Smackdown.  I think WWE believes that "Primo" can make an impact on the main roster.  Some debut though, huh?

Adamle:  "I want to introduce Primo Colon... Hey, John!  John Cena!" (runs away)

Nothing like getting buried on your first day.  It did wonders for Booker T's WWE career.

  2. Not a surprise that the two story lines look alike.  The story line being formed is one that has been used many times successfully over the years.  It has been used in WCW, NWA, TNA, WWE, AWA, and WWF over the years.  It's great to see that it works as well today as it did in the 70's.

  3. Thats exactly what i thought after the punch.

    WQ: I didnt see him

  4. The HBK/Jericho feud is similar to the feud that Robert Roode & Booker T had earlier this year in TNA. I wouldn't know if the WWE got that idea of a storyline for the feud between HBK & Chris Jericho from TNA to try it out, but that storyline is too far from over & expect it to continue when HBK is back from sabbatical.

As for your wrestling question regarding Carlito's little brother, I haven't seen him wrestle at all yet, so I can't give my opinion on the young man untill he steps foot in the ring.

  5. im sayin WWE copied TNA. its clear that they did.

WQ- they might be. since hes pretty pissed right now, they are probably just bringin him up to make carlito happy. ive never really seen carlitos brother wrestler, so i dont know if hes talented or not

  6. I think so, i just hope i dont see it. But i think the Edge and Vickie storyline is getting bad

  7. Didn't really notice that untill you pointed the similarities out. I wouldn't go as far as calling it copying, unless the next match is Y2J and Lance Cade (his valet) vs. Shawn Michaels and his wife in a mixed-tag strap match lol.

WQ: Im actually thinking its the other way around, as if WWE is sending a message to Carlito that he can easily be replaced, by none other than his brother, in his unofficial role as WWE ambassador to Spanish speaking countries.

  8. I noticed the similarities as well.

I'm trying to ignore it, though, because I know a lot of WWE "loyalists" will complain back that, "TNA copies WWE all the time still", like WWE was the only promotion with storylines.

WQ: Maybe, but then again, Carlito will never be happy until he gets a major push, possibly towards a World Title.

  9. WWE

    IS

    DEAD!!!

  10. I thought that today aswell, also with TNA they got Angle and his Wife on there so maybe HBK's wife will also become a permanent figure for WWE
