Is it just me, or does anyone else always feel pregnant after they had a baby? Ever since I had my daughter 10 months ago I swear I still feel like I feel a baby kicking once in a while. Every time I had s*x since then I thought I was pregnant because I would feel sick and have other symptoms. Does anyone else feel this way or am I just nuts?!

  1. not really but i can see how you could still feel it.

  2. Yep

  3. my daughter is 6 and i still wait for the feeling of her to kick when i have an ice cold drink

  4. I never felt like that...are you sure you're not, I'd do another test in a month...

  5. Do you want another baby? Because i had a girl 10 months ago too, and I feel the same way you do, but I don't want another baby right now, so I just think I'm PARANOID to the max. So when ever hubby and i have s*x I go crazy when I feel nething in my stomach...even gas!

  6. A friend told me right after I had my first baby that I would be surprised at how things that I thought were the baby moving weren't really because I would still feel them - and she was right.  Not really kicking as much as just moving around.  I noticed it after both of my children were born. You're not crazy.

  7. Are you sure you are not pregnant again?

  8. Your hormones are balancing out now and you will get some of the pregnancy symptoms back because now you have to get used to the lack of hormones! I talked to my midwife because I was supposed to have twins, but 1 died very early on and I thought for sure that it was still in there moving around. She said that your organs have to move back in to place and that is what you feel. It's so crazy. Sometimes I still think I feel it. I guess I must have mistaken my daughter moving with gas bubbles or digestive issues or something.

  9. I feel it sometimes but honestly I think it's just gas. Not trying to be disgusting but they say that when you first feel it kick it has a feeling of gas moving in your stomach.

Anyway enjoy the age because terrible twos are coming! (mad scientist cackle)

  10. If you are not taking precautions then you may be, or maybe the thought of having another os soon is haunting you!!

  11. I know how you feel. I have gone through this with every pregnancy I have had (4) and I always feel that way. I have had my tubes tied for almost 3 years now and I still feel that way sometimes.

  12. I get those feelings too!  My daughter is 7 months, and I have had 3 slight periods (I'm breastfeeding and on the "mini" pill).  But as to 'why' we feel this way I do not know.

  13. I never really remember still feeling pregnant.  I do remember "forgetting" that I wasn't pregnant anymore though.  I say if you think you feel a baby moving, that maybe you should see your doctor.  Any chance you really are pregnant?

  14. I would say that it is just your body trying to get back to normal after having the baby. It takes a while. Your stomach might be tightening and you might be feeling the twitching of the stomach, abdomen or uterus.

  15. There were times after I had my daughter that I felt "kicking"  I think it's because you now notice every twinge because you were conditioned to recognize it for 7-8 months.  I still sometimes get a muscle spasm or something that "feels" like a kick and my daughter is 4 yrs old!  Probably the same thing regarding your "pregnancy" symptoms, now that you know what it feels like you are subconsciously looking for those things.

  16. yes I feel the same way after daughter was born 6 months ago. I know I'm not pregnant though I have the Mirena IUD.

  17. I remember that feeling I had it until my daughter was a year old.  She is now 20 months and we are expecting our second in January !!!  Yay!!  They will be two years apart!

    Good Luck,

  18. You are not nuts...It's been a year since I stopped nursing and I swear I still feel the "letdown" of milk and think oh, where's the baby (to nurse her) and then remember that she's running around using a sippy cup!  What you feel is very common!
