  1. Ron Paul had more tickets sold at his convention then the Rep party at their convention.

  2. The fire marshal is there according to one blogger and has been counting heads and shutting the door when the count reached the maximum number.  That area is probably more strict in their fire code than where the DNC was or maybe the DNC bribed the fire marshall there.

  3. Barack ha what a joke, He is just a talker. He is the frontman of a burning plane. Didnt look empty, besides they chose to do it in a virtually all democratic state.

  4. Its expected during the day for both DNC and RNC Conventions. But during prime time the seats are overflowing with people. The RNC appeared to be 70% occupied. Its as if most of the Republicans were bored and the demographic mixture didn't reflect America's makeup.

  5. They would have been empty even if Gustav had never been.

They just used Gustav to justify their lack of physical support at their convention.

  6. It was wonderful to see our nations bone heads gathered in one arena, even the empty seats had more appeal!

  7. Nope, not just you.

Did you notice the lack of applause during the most bold faced of the lies told by Rudy and Gov, Palin?

Too much for even the faithful to stomach I guess.

  8. All of them looked bored... until they heard "Barack Obama" ... then they got excited.

    LMAO

  9. I noticed....And pls Don't USE Gustav as an excuse. Face it, they just are NOT THAT interesting......and her speech....SNORE I changed the channel after 2 minutes....BORING!

  10. The first two nights were not filled, due to the Hurricane. There was one section that had no one sitting in it tonight, but perhaps that was a staging reason.

What I did notice on every night, was the lack of diversity and age, at least from the times the camera's scanned the audience....

  11. Most Republicans work - they dont take time off for talking.

  12. Those seats were behind the stage, nobody would be able to see what was going on and I am sure there were many people missing from the gulf coast states due to the hurricane that they just experienced. Many delegates and super delegates are city county and state officials and need to be home right now.

  13. Nobody cares for them anymore.  Except for the die-hards.  Which is kind of ironic because Bruce Willis plays a guy named McClane that kills a bunch of terrorists in the Die Hard movies.

Cherry D, no sh*t?  I know I read a while back that he had to move to a bigger venue to accomodate everybody.  What a loon.  lol. (sarcasm)

  14. Have your eye-doctor check your rose-colored glasses!!!

...and no, you can't use that one!!!

  15. Empty seats do not vote.

  16. just you... they didn't seat people behind the stage.

The convention is booked to capacity.

  17. The entire Old people pupulation was there in the RNC

  18. Yes! lol! I noticed all of the empty seats - and NOT just behind the speaker, either.  There was nowhere near the turnout as at the DNC and the average age looked to me to be about 75 - except for the large group of Texas oil men down front.  I didn't see any minorities either - what's up with that?

  19. Guess most people were hanging out in the Men's rooms.

  20. Most of us not retired have real jobs.

  21. I noticed that too!

  22. I heard the thunderous chants of U.S.A, U.S.A, U.S.A, U.S.A. I can't wait for Sen. McCain's acceptance speech.

  23. No

But I've noticed the empty suits in the Democratic one....
